Don’t be worried if you receive a low offer – an offer, no matter what the amount, is a starting point! Once you receive an offer, you can talk to your real estate agent about what kind of counter offer you would like to make. You can always counter a low offer or even any offers that are just under your asking price.

You do have the option to outright reject a low offer and see if the buyer is serious. If they are serious, then the buyers will be willing to come back to you with a new, higher offer. A low offer can also just be a starting point on the buyer’s behalf to see where you’re at as a seller. Remember, offers are only that – offers! You can negotiate anything once you receive an offer. Work with your real estate agent on how you can handle low offers and negotiate them to work better on your terms.
